MARYLAND—SB599
Effective July 1, 2013, SB599 prohibits a prime contractor from requiring a payment bond from a subcontractor with more stringent bonding requirements than are required by statute for the prime contractor. Click here for legislation

MARYLAND—SB140
Effective July 1, 2013, SB140 authorizes a state entity to retain 5% of the total amount of a construction contract when the contractor has furnished 100% payment security and 100% performance security. Click here for legislation

MARYLAND—HB560
