Additional Credit & Collection Tools

Skip Tracing

Letters and phone calls from our in-house collector or local attorney can often prompt the debtor to pay the delinquent account. But what if the debtor cannot be located—what if the debtor “skipped town?”
At NCS we provide a skip tracing service as a collection tool. We will perform research to locate the debtor’s whereabouts so that collection action can be pursued. Records used in our research may include phone number databases, credit reports (including information provided on a loan application, credit card application, and in other debt collector databases), job application information, criminal background checks, utility bills (electricity, gas, water, sewage, phone, internet, and cable), social security, disability and public tax information.
Asset Searches
We can also perform an asset search to verify and locate a debtor’s possessions. An asset search may report: employment; business affiliation; vehicle ownership; real property ownership; banking relationships; liens or judgments; notices of defaults; UCC filings; etc.
Typically, an asset search is performed when a collection is in litigation and judgment has been made. If the debtor has no monies available to pay per the court’s order, his assets can be garnished.
An asset search can also be helpful in the preliminary stages to determine if collection is worth pursuing.
Contact from an attorney is often all it takes to persuade a debtor to pay, but litigation may become necessary. This legal process has specific steps and often takes time depending on the state’s court system.
We serve as your liaison. We explain your options and walk you through each step of the litigation process. We make sure you receive focused representation, prompt reporting and professional service.
Each attorney in our network operates by the highest business standards.
